OK, so Labor Day was actually on Monday but it was a big deal and everyone got the day off and we were all really quite drunk (hic).
I think I might have had my most perfect weekend so far...
On Saturday, Jenny and I went to the baseball to see the Mets play the Chicago Cubs - the Cubs have a player called Fukudome. No, really. It's not a pun. That is his NAME. But honestly, it really wasn't about the game (which I'm sorry America, IS ROUNDERS) it was about sitting in the sunshine, drinking beers and eating lots and lots of chicken wings. That made me very happy.
After the game (which I think we lost?) we headed back into the city to watch a certain boy from Brooklyn play in his band. I am not a good photographer as the pictures below will attest but see! Shiny hair, right?
Sunday was all about hangovers, sleeping in and trawling through the junk shops and vintage clothing stores in Williamsburg, followed by The September Issue at a cinema next door to the Hotel Chelsea. If you haven't seen it yet, you MUST. It makes me very, very scared given that I want to write for proper magazines soon. Mew. Much scarier than Devil Wears Prada.
On Monday, a big group of us had a picnic in McCarren Park, Williamsburg, where I saw a woman walking her rabbit on a lead (seriously - photographic evidence attached) and then we went to see The Lovely Eggs at Cake Shop and they made me a little bit homesick. Ooh, and I bought a duffel coat from Topshop in Soho. It's really not cold enough to wear it yet but it reminded me of Paddington Bear which reminded me of London which reminded me I miss London which made me sad. And sometimes, sad can only be rectified by shopping. I'll post a pic of me modelling soon, promise.
So, that was my perfect weekend. If you could do anything, anywhere and money was NO object, what would your perfect weekend be?

The big question is...
Where would you like to see Angela visit after Paris?

Well, I know I'm not a new yorker, but the rabbit on a leash is not the most bazar thing I have seen on the end of a leash. My little sister has a pet ferret that she walks everyday and I have a pet chicken I saved that i walk around the yard (but not on a leash -i bet i scream country). If money were no object my perfect weekend would be taking a road trip with my best friend in a camper van. No joke we have planned this! We want to leave from Toronto and drive up to ottawa, then to Halifax , on to portland maine where we can dip our feet in the ocean and have real sea food. Then new york to stay in a fancy hotel , see the landmarks, and hit the town and SHOP SHOP SHOP. Only to continue on to washington to view all it has to offer and travel back home. Now this is only possible because we don't work fridays and are done early on thursdays. And if it were a week long we would stop in vermont, chicago , niargra falls on both sides and PEI as well. ahh....to dream.

I loved the book, would LOVE to just take off if only those lucky breaks happend to a normal gal..if money were no object...my perfect weekend would b a shopping trip to NYC friday, followed by spa and makeover before a night out at one of the fab restaurants you speak of, followed by drinks in the happening bars then onto bowery ballrooms etc...next day starbucks, shopping, starbucks, shopping, another slap up meal and a show on broadway with a gorgeous guy,, the next day picnic in central park, wander around for hours immersed in its beauty, then a ride down to battery park over to the statue...one last shop! and collapse in hotel room surrounded by lots and lots of bags!

If you think the lady walking her Rabbit is entertaining the weirdest thing I saw on a trip to New York was a man walking along the street with a Cat sitting on his head. I kid you not he was walking around with a Cat balanced on his head sitting bolt upright! I tried to get a picture but I didnt want the bloke to think I was looking - Should have though as it had to be seen to be believed. He must have thought it was a normal thing to do but those around him just looked at him like a Lunatic!
