So, even though my American cousins declined to celebrate Bonfire Night with me, I am more than prepared to celebrate Thanksgiving with them. Well, yes, you probably can because when you think about it, Bonfire Night is incredibly British. We celebrate a man trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament by setting fire to his effigy and blowing up lots of tiny explosives while eating toffee and sausages.
